This happens primarily through labs including Animal Science (Agriscience, Small Animal Care, Large Animal Care & Veterinary Science) and Plant Science (Agriscience, Greenhouse Mgmt. & Turf/Landscape Mgmt.) "Agriculture is our wisest pursuit because it will, in the end, contribute most to REAL WEALTH, GOOD MORALS, AND HAPPINESS. – Thomas Jefferson
DICKSON COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL
"The organization has grown to be more than cows, sows, and plows; the modern FFA is about beakers, speakers, and job seekers."
We are sitting on a gold mine of opportunities to share with the agriculture students. I am most excited about all of the pathways we offer at Dickson County High School. Through the Agriculture classes here, we are able to teach in a small engine shop setting, small animal facility, greenhouse, and two barn facilities. If there is any student interested in any form of agriculture, I will have the opportunity to teach them more about it. I am so excited to be able to educate our youth of Dickson County about this ever-changing industry.
