CWHS’ Business program gives students the opportunity to learn basic and challenging business concepts and provides them the ability to apply this knowledge to their daily lives. Throughout the pathway students learn many business concepts in entrepreneurship, marketing, communication, and management. The business program can benefit and be applicable to any future interests a student may have.
The fourth level, capstone course for the program gives students a Work Based Learning experience. They participate in running Hawk’s Nest Press, our student operated business within CWHS. HNP offers printed custom products such as t-shirts, posters, banners, and perforated window vinyl to the school system and local community

Students interested in Business careers or want to one day own their own business can choose the Business Management Elective Focus. They will gain basic business knowledge in the Introduction to Business and Marketing class, then build on that knowledge by gaining experience in Accounting I or Business Communication. The third level class examines Business Management through learning historical styles and how management has transformed through the years. Lastly, senior level students may apply and participate in Work Based Learning.
Business Management classes have designed and developed two businesses: one selling teacher faces on stickers (called Smile Print), and Cougar Kart, an afternoon snack cart. We are excited to announce we will be launching a Swag Shop in the 2024-2025 school year!
