The Business Management and Administration program of study prepares students for careers in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating business functions essential to efficient and productive business operations. Nearly half of all jobs are in managerial and professional occupations, and one-fourth of all workers are self-employed. The business management and administration services industry is one of the highest-paying industries. I intend to offer a quality program for all students to learn basic and challenging concepts to apply to their daily lives. I provide hands on activities that allow students to take their thinking to a deeper level. In the 2015-2016 school year, students discussed the idea to open a coffee/smoothie shop. Shortly after, Creek’s Café opened, allowing the students to gain experience in a working environment. The fourth level class is a student-run business that students to get insight into how a business is ran. In 2016, the fourth level class launched a printing press company called Hawk’s Nest Press. We offer printed custom products such as t-shirts, posters, banners, perforated window vinyl, etc.
