PROJECT LEAD THE WAY

ENGINEERING/STEM

INTRODUCTION TO ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY (DUAL CREDIT W/ NSCC)

The Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Engineering Program is one that allows students to face real world problems to solve in the role of an engineer. Throughout the program, students step into the varied roles engineers play in our society, discover new career paths and possibilities, and develop engineering knowledge and skills. In addition, as students work in teams to design and test solutions, they are empowered to develop in-demand, transportable skills like collaboration, critical thinking, and communication along with technical skills such as creating solid models(3d CAD), robotics design and programming, CNC programming, reading blueprints, 3D printing,  and electronic circuit design. There are four courses offered in this program which allows you to start as a Freshman and take one each year.

“ I believe that as an instructor I get to prepare students for some of the most exciting and high paying jobs in the most high tech career fields that our future has to offer. It is truly exciting to get to teach technology and engineering courses at a time when technology is advancing more rapidly than any time in history. “
